Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) relate to the Clinigen Direct Love Your Pharmacists Awards (“Awards”) which is an event sponsored and to be presented by Clinigen Healthcare Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 06252720 whose registered office is at Pitcairn House, Crown Square, Centrum, 100, Burton-On-Trent, Staffordshire, DE14 2WW (“Clinigen” or “we”) at the European Association of Hospital Pharmacists (“EAHP”) conference in Gothenburg, Sweden in March 2021 (“Event”).
The key dates for the Awards are as follows:
Online nominations open on 1 December 2021;
Online nominations close at midnight UK time on 27 January 2022; and
Winners announced 23 March 2022.
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for an Award, nominees must be hospital pharmacists, with a license to practise pharmacy in the following European countries:

Employees of Clinigen and its affiliates and those involved in the development of the Awards programme and members of their respective immediate families or households are not eligible for nomination.
Nominees must be currently practising pharmacists on either a full-time or part-time basis.
Candidates may be nominated for multiple Awards, however a nominator may only nominate one candidate for each Award.
The Awards and assessment criteria
Hospital Pharmacist of the Year
The Hospital Pharmacist of the Year Award celebrates a pharmacist who has consistently demonstrated a commitment to innovation, excellence and success for bringing the right medicine to the right patient at the right time over the last twelve months.
Lifetime Achievement Award
The Lifetime Achievement Award acknowledges a pharmacist who has consistently gone above and beyond over the duration of their career to make a difference to the lives of patients, and advocate the pharmacy profession. Nominees can be retired or semi-retired but must still be active in the field. Nominations must have 25+ years’ service.
Rising Star Award
The Rising Star Award celebrates a pharmacist who has shown real ambition and innovation when it comes to improving patient outcomes and are starting to make a name for themselves. Candidates for this Award must be in the first 5 years of their career post-qualification as a pharmacist.
The Extra Mile Award
Celebrating those who have gone the extra mile. It is an award for an occasion where a pharmacist has thought outside the box and explored all options to achieve a better patient outcome.
Pharmacist Team of the Year
Open to all hospital pharmacist teams. Celebrating team spirit and collaboration. This is a recognition of the whole team, and successes that they have had and made possible.
As a general guideline, we would like to see examples of any achievements of the nominee relevant to the Award assessment criteria, information on their relationships with both patients and colleagues, and any long-term goals or vision for the future they may have.
How to nominate
Nominations must be made using the online entry form made available on the Clinigen Direct section of Clinigen’s website.
All mandatory fields must be completed.
It is the responsibility of the nominator to articulate how the nominee has met the assessment criteria set out above.
Where appropriate, you may provide examples to support your submission, however, please ensure no patient data is included in your response.
The deadline for receipt of nominations is midnight UK time on 27 January 2022.
Both self-nominations and nominations made by a colleague/associate are acceptable except that self-nominations may not be made for the Lifetime Achievement Award.
It is essential that both the nominator and nominees agree to these Terms and Conditions and that both nominator and nominees are aware that the submission has been made. By submitting a nomination using the online entry form, you agree on your own behalf and on behalf of any nominees that you and your nominees agree to be bound by these Term and Conditions.
Award process
Judging will consist of three rounds of reviews, shortlisting and selection. All winners will be subject to verification.
Reviews, shortlisting, and selection will be undertaken by a panel consisting of Clinigen employees (“Panel”).
As part of the process, the Panel may be in touch to request additional information or materials, such as a short biography or a high-quality photograph of nominees.
All decisions will be made by the Panel based on the submissions provided and their assessment relevant to the assessment criteria, to the exclusion of any other factors and in the Panel’s discretion.
The Event and the Awards do not constitute an inducement to recommend and/or prescribe, purchase, supply, sell or administer any medicine.
The Awards will comprise a certificate or similar. No gifts for personal benefit or cash or cash equivalent will be awarded.
All decisions of the Panel are final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
Winners will be notified approximately four weeks in advance of the Event to confirm their availability to attend the Event to receive their Award.
Clinigen is unable to pay any costs of attendance.
Privacy
The personal data you supply when submitting nominations and/or in connection with the Event will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You should always read our website Terms of Use.
Nominators and nominees and their personal data relevant to the Event will be shared for the purposes of the Event.
All nominators and nominees may have their details removed from our records by contacting us in accordance with the terms of our Privacy Policy. If their details are removed prior to the conclusion of the Event, nominees will not be considered for an Award.
If you nominate an individual or a team for an Award, you must ensure that the nominee, or the individuals in the team, have given their consent to the nomination and for you to provide Clinigen with their personal data and to process these in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You must also ensure that the nominee, or the individuals in the team, have agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
Clinigen may contact the nominee (or nominees in the case of a team nomination) to validate the nomination and ensure the nominees are aware of and accept the terms of our Privacy Policy and these Terms and Conditions.
It is a condition of a nomination that we have the right to publish the name, place of work and nomination details of nominees and winners of Awards.
Nominees, particularly those who receive Awards, may be required to participate in photo, recording, video and/or filming session(s). Nominees and those who receive Awards agree that Clinigen and EAHP have the right to use all the resulting publicity materials in any media and in any manner they see fit (subject always to their rights detailed in our Privacy Policy and these Terms and Conditions).
Clinigen is entitled to use any image for marketing purposes relevant to the Clinigen Direct Love Your Pharmacist Awards, and to edit any submissions before announcing and publishing details of the winners of Awards.
Miscellaneous
These Terms and Conditions and other communications issued by or on behalf of Clinigen relating to the Event apply to the exclusion of any other terms and conditions save that Clinigen may vary these Terms and Conditions by changing them on the Clinigen Direct section of Clinigen's website from time to time as it sees fit. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Conditions any other such communications, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clinigen and its affiliates and their agents will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate any winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of the Event and/or taking up an Award except where it is caused by the negligence of Clinigen or its agents or that of their employees.
All nominations and any accompanying material submitted will become the property of Clinigen on receipt and will not be returned.
By submitting your nomination and any accompanying material, you agree on your own behalf and on behalf of any nominee to be bound by these Terms and Conditions:
By submitting your nomination and any accompanying material, you also agree on your own behalf and on behalf of any nominee to:(a)assign to Clinigen all your intellectual property rights with full title guarantee; and (b)waive all moral rights, in and to your nomination and otherwise arising in connection with your nomination to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.
You agree that Clinigen may, but is not required to, make your entry available on any part of Clinigen's website or in any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the Event. You agree to grant Clinigen a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the nomination and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the nomination and any accompanying materials for such purposes.
If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, Clinigen may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude the nominee from participating in the Event.
Clinigen reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the Event or Awards where it becomes necessary to do so.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by English Law and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction with respect to them.
