The Clinigen Direct Love Your Pharmacist Awards are a European initiative to recognise and celebrate the exceptional accomplishments of hospital pharmacists.
Nominations are now open. Winners will be announced 23rd March 2022 at the EAHP Congress in Vienna.

How to nominate
Nominations will be treated in confidence and only reviewed by the judging panel - please ensure no patient data is shared within your submission.
If you are nominating a colleague (or a team), it is essential that the nominee or each individual in the team is aware that the nomination has been made and each individual has agreed to the nomination and the Terms and Conditions and Clinigen’s Privacy Policy.
Award categories
Hospital Pharmacist of the Year Award
The Hospital Pharmacist of the Year Award celebrates a pharmacist who has consistently demonstrated a commitment to innovation, excellence and success for bringing the right medicine to the right patient at the right time at their hospital over the last 12 months.
Lifetime Achievement Award
The Lifetime Achievement Award acknowledges a pharmacist who has gone above and beyond over the duration of their career to make a difference to the lives of patients, and advocate the pharmacy profession. Nominees can be retired or semi-retired but must still be active in the field. Nominations must have 25+ years service.
Rising Star Award
The Rising Star Award celebrates a pharmacist who has shown real ambition and innovation when it comes to improving patient outcomes and are starting to make a name for themselves. Candidates for this Award must be in the first 5 years of their career post-qualification as a pharmacist.
The Extra Mile Award
Celebrating those who have gone the extra mile in addition to the challenges of their day-to-day role. It is an award for an occasion where a pharmacist has thought outside the box and explored all options to achieve a better patient outcome.
Pharmacist Team of the Year Award
Open to all Hospital Pharmacist teams. Celebrating team spirit and collaboration. This is a recognition of the whole team, and successes that they have had and made possible together.

The Love Your Pharmacist Awards are presented as part of Clinigen’s ethos, to celebrate and recognise the achievements of hospital pharmacists in improving the lives of patients.
The EAHP represents and develops the hospital pharmacy profession within Europe in order to ensure the continuous improvement of care and outcomes for patients in the hospital setting. This is achieved through science, research, education, practice, as well as sharing best-practice and responsibility with other healthcare professionals.

The Clinigen Direct Love Your Pharmacist Awards are open to hospital pharmacists, with an active license to practice pharmacy in Europe (see list of countries below).
Employees of Clinigen and its affiliates and those involved in the development of the Awards programme and members of their respective immediate families or households are not eligible for nomination.
Self-nominations will be accepted as well as nominations made by a colleague / associate except that self-nominations may not be made for the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Please note; Nominees must be currently practicing pharmacists on either a full-time or part-time basis. For the Lifetime Achievement Award nominations will be accepted for semi-retired professionals. For the Rising Star award nominations will be accepted for trainee pharmacists in their first five-years post qualification.
Yes, self-nomination is accepted for all awards except the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Clinigen Direct Love Your Pharmacist Awards will be open to nominations for hospital pharmacists with a license to practise pharmacy in the following countries:

Shortlisting and selection will be undertaken by a panel of judges consisting of Clinigen employees. Clinigen employees will not be influenced by any external factors including sales and customer relationships. All decisions will be made based solely on the submission provided, relevant to the assessment criteria in accordance with Award’s Terms and Conditions.
Judging will consist of three rounds of reviews, shortlisting and selection. All winners will be subject to verification. Details can be found in the Award’s Terms and Conditions.
