Andrew Leaver – Executive Chairman
  • Andy is a former Head of Wholesale Sales at Baker Norton
  • Set up ADL Consulting, focused on selling specialty generic drugs in 1998
  • Created ADL Healthcare Ltd, which defended parallel imports for large pharmaceutical companies, and Focus Pharmaceuticals, a generics company
  • The ADL Group achieved Sunday Times Fast Track status as the 2nd fastest growing UK Company in 2003
  • In 2004 formed Keats Healthcare to focus on clinical trials supply
  • In 2007 formed Clinigen Healthcare to expand focus to named-patient and compassionate use
  • Created the Clinigen Group in 2010 following the acquisition of Foscavir® from AstraZeneca
Peter George – Chief Executive Officer
  • Peter joined the Clinigen Group when it formed in June 2010
  • He is a qualified Clinical Biochemist and Immunologist and a former head of department in the NHS
  • 15 years’ experience at board level as a Senior Executive with full P&L experience in public & private sector businesses
  • Chief Operating Officer developing a global clinical trials laboratory servicing the pharmaceutical industry at UCTi
  • Executive VP for Wolters Kluwer Health with full P&L responsibility for a $100 million+ business across Europe & Asia Pacific delivering published clinical trials, competitor intelligence and customized marketing services to the pharmaceutical industry
  • CEO at Penn Pharma, having led a £67M MBO in 2007
  • Experience of managing global operations in Europe, North and South America & Asia Pacific in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, life sciences, as well as healthcare publishing, business intelligence, M&A and investment banking
  • Specializes in driving growth, organic and acquisitional, developing strategy and creating business plans that achieve these strategic goals
  • Studied an Executive Masters in Business at Kelloggs School of Management at Northwestern University, Chicago

Robin Sibson – Group Financial Director
  • Robin trained as an accountant and has financial and commercial management experience in retail, manufacturing, R&D, as well as in sales & marketing
  • Experienced in product acquisitions and launches, in-licensing, MBO spin offs and partnering deals & divestments
  • 30 years’ experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, and life science businesses and a board-level FD for 15 years
  • Gained extensive experience as FD for Boots’ UK Pharmaceutical business
    — Led financial integration of the UK business following the sale to BASF
  • FD for BASF's UK pharma manufacturing, R&D and sales & marketing business for 6 years. Subsequently managed the £35m Nottingham site closure
  • Worked for Abbott Laboratories managing the integration of the BASF business
  • Joined ADL Healthcare Ltd in 2003 and provided financial management to support growth to £80m turnover and 2nd place in the Fast Track 100
John Hartup – Non-Executive Director
  • John practised as a corporate lawyer for 30 years dealing with corporate finance and commercial contract matters. During this time, he acquired detailed knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
  • On the management board of two of the practices in which he was a partner. Was a prime mover in the development and subsequent disposal of one of those practices
  • Joined Clinigen’s board in May 2011 as a non-executive director, bringing his legal, commercial and strategic expertise to the Company
Anton Jenkins – Chief Operations Officer, Clinigen Healthcare
  • Anton is a pharmacologist graduate from Leeds University, with 28 years’ experience of working in the pharmaceutical industry
  • He grew his career in sales and marketing roles within the Pharmaceutical industry for Searle, May & Baker, Rhone Poulenc (Sanofi Aventis), AstraZeneca, Ivax (Teva) and Roche
  • Latterly he was the UK MD of Meda, gaining first-hand experience of acquiring individual brands
  • Anton also steered Meda UK through three major company acquisitions: Viatris, 3M and Valeant
  • This experience will prove invaluable in his position of COO of Clinigen Healthcare
Shaun Chilton – Chief Operations Officer, Clinigen Services
  • Shaun has led a highly focussed portfolio of global businesses through consecutive years of double digit growth across Europe and the US
  • Most recently, Shaun was President of the KnowledgePoint360 Group, a global healthcare pharmaceutical information and services organisation with a $100M turnover
  • Shaun has extensive operational responsibility, driving many major restructuring programs, leading and directing sales and operational teams and developing strategies through strong leadership
  • Shaun joined Clinigen in January 2012 and brings 20 years’ commercial, strategic and operational experience to the position
Paul Thomas – Technical Director, Clinigen
  • Paul is a professional member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, a Chartered Chemist and permanent European Qualified Person (QP)
  • He is also a member of the UK Institute of Directors (IoD)
  • Paul has more than 24 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, holding senior QA and manufacturing posts at Parke-Davis/Warner Lambert, Nycomed-Amersham (GE Healthcare) and Penn Pharma where he was the Chief Scientific Officer
  • Before joining Clinigen, Paul ran his own pharmaceutical consultancy practice, Thomas Pharma Limited
  • He is passionate about ensuring the delivery of world-class technical solutions, keeping the companies at the forefront of pharmaceutical science and commercial success
